At the October meeting of the North American Trials Council (NATC) in Dallas, the Best National of the Year award went to Minnesota. And who is ‘Minnesota’? Essentially, Steve Ahlers and his team of workers from both the Northland Motorcycle Riders Association (NMRA), WOTA, and the UMTA. Here’s the membership letter that was mailed out to all club members last week: March 1, 2008 Hello, UMTA members and friends, 2008 season is just around the corner and would like to welcome “UMTA 2008 Officers”. Your membership must be paid by the second event of the season (May 4) to be eligible for year-end UMTA awards. Here’s the revised UMTA Handbook, 2008 edition (PDF). (The changes from 2005 are in italics throughout.) It’s also available on the Handbook page. And when you pay your annual membership dues for the season, you receive a printed Handbook.
