2007 EVENTS APPROACHING! Theilman

Get ready… the 2007 season of the UMTA is almost here! Preparations are almost complete at Theilman for this weekends 1st event of the season. I was there on Saturday and due to the hard work of many UMTA-ers under the leadership of Brian Dotterwick, 2 days of fun TRIALS Competition awaits. I will be giving out all the 2006 D23 jackets/plaques at the riders meeting at 11:00, and we will kick off the new season at 11:30. So get your bike ready, invite a friend, and don’t forget your helmet!

Looking forward to seeing everyone and any/all newcomers to TRIALS/UMTA… welcome. Consider yourself personally invited to come out and check out the world of TRIALS at any event. Look me up and I (along with all the UMTA-ers) will do everything we can to answer your questions, let you experience a TRIALS bike, and make your day a great one!

FREE Logs – UMTA Paul Bunyans Needed!

Good new on creating a new bigger-better than ever log pile without getting BEAR mad at anyone! There is construction happening along the E side of Hiway 169 just N of I-694 by my office. There have been 7 houses here in the midst on an industrial park for years. Some of the lots are being purchased and the houses moved to make room for a parking lot. Lots of big-nice trees on the properties that are going to come down sometime in May-June? and I have gained permission for the UMTA to have first dibs if we do the work in Mar-April.  So with the willingness of all the UMTA Paul Bunyans to step up to do some loggin operations and a well planned one day loading/hauling effort, we can have a significant amount of good size logs!!  More to Come.

Import complete

I’ve imported all the old posts from Blogger dating back to 2002. Whew!

Most of the images embedded in those posts seem to work. Of course, links to the old pages on our website no longer work.

More to come…

Website/weblog overhaul

I’m going to start working on an overhaul of the UMTA site today. I’m going install WordPress.

So for a while, you won’t be able to find stuff. And don’t be alarmed by the boring look. We’ll spiff it after we get it running.
